I am the only one who hates Ellis?

To oppose the "Why everyone hates Rochelle" (shes my fav. character in L4D2) i would like to know if i am the only one who thinks Ellis is just annoying, his "naive" attitute is just plain irritating and the "have i ever told you about when Keith..." stories are enough to drive anyone mad.

Seriously, i dunno how the majority of the people likes him. IMO hes is the most aggravating character in the series. Anyone share my views?

Ellis is my favorite one. I mean come on, he's just a young twenty year old who just makes light of the whole situation. And his stories are funny. And Sorry, Rochelle just sucks...no personality.

Ellis can make any bad situation better. He has a firm grasp of reality and he sees the brighter things in life EVEN during the apocalypse. Instead of it BEING an apocalypse, its just a shooting range as he says. Can't hate on a young man trying to be positive and lighten a situation. And Rochelle is annoying in my opinion, but I don't hate her, I appreciate her help. Appreciate Ellis's company because without him, you'd be dead, and sad. His stories make me laugh >_>

Well i suppose i hate happity happy people (guess thats why Francis is my fav. one in L4D1) and without Ellis i might be dead, but definitly not sad

Thats the purpose of this thread, to disscuss our opinions, despite being harsh on my first comment, i aint looking to start a fight with anyone, this is merely to get to know why people like him (because i really dont understand)

So far only Tanguy & you (Spectre) actually gave their opinions on Ellis

Alright then. Ellis is probably one of the most charismatic characters in the game. Even if he is Naive, his attitude is what makes the L4D2 group fun to play with. Besides, you need to be cheered up when you are fighting horde after horde of zombies as to avoid a mental breakdown.

He does irritate me greatly, however it is fairly obvious that he is severely mentally handicapped, and so I cant really hate him for it.
