Sound mod loop help
I'm the author of this mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=180452837&searchtext=Jiyuu+no+Tsubasa problem is it doesn't even get to about 1min before it loops back to the beginning. Are there any experienced sound modders out there who can help me fix this? The entire song is about 5:30mins long and I've been using Goldwave and stuff to fix it but it either doesn't work or plays a high pitched sound that makes you want to kill yourself.

It's because you have to cut the sound length to exactly 52 seconds.
You have to find 52 seconds of amazing, cut it out, make it a wav, put it in the folder, and then just do the vpk stuff.
If it is longer, a third of the time it'll just loop 52 seconds in, another third it'll do the high pitched sound, and the other third is it just plain not working.
If you cut it to 52 seconds and it still makes the high pitched sound, check to see if the file is mono, if it is, you'll have to change it back to stereo.

It also makes the mod about 4 - 10 mb, depending on the song.

You can't make a sound mod longer than the sound it's supposed to replace.

Maybe you could using the rebuildaudiocache command or whatever, but it usually just crashes your game.

It's less than a good idea to remplace a sound without respecting it's lenght, you'd be ending up request people to fix their sound cache which not everyone wants to do, as most of the time now. It's not working properly, as well there's not only one but 2 themes with different lenghts you'll need to innovate and loop that way nobody is gonna complain. Seems like this video wasn't remplaced with a VPK but the .wav file itself.

Not a crash, the game closes itself after it's done.
