Choosing character & difficulty

It's possible to choose any character in campaing mode or it's only for custom campaings and cooperative online modes?

You can choose your character and the difficulty of a campaign if you start the lobby.

You can choose your character if you are just in a lobby, but you can't choose in-game, I'm pretty sure sb_takecontrol is under sv_cheats 1.

Thanks guys, a mod from steamworks was the problem, i just disabled it.

The improved bots mod lets you change mid game so if you get killed you can take over a bot and keep playing.
