Map Downloads from Steam Workshop
I normally download all my maps from http://www.l4dmaps.com/l4d2/. I have done so for a long time with very little issues. I got a new computer and decided to give the workshop a try. I have downloaded about 7 or 9 maps and all only 2 work. I continue to get the "files are conflicting" message. Am I doing something wrong here? New install and almost nothing from the Steam site works. Should I just continue to use the alternate site and forget about the Steam versions, or can someone point me in the right direction here?

Most campaigns have to be broken up into parts for the Workshop. The separate parts will conflict with each other as they contain the same directing files (missions.txt, I believe). This shouldn't cause any problems with actual gameplay, but if it does, go back to manual installation.

I personally stick with the L4D2 Maps site. Never had any problems installing any of those maps.

Thanks for the comments. I have to say that the Steam versions install much easier since the add on installer for LFD2 maps seemed to disappear. I have to do it all manually now.
