left 4 dead 2 , why i cannot use official server, i only can use local server ,
i can only use local server but still fail everytime after playing 1 single chapter of any map... it automatically turned to PC menu , even not in game menu, very frustrated , please instruct me

Read the logs of your firewall/protection. As a start.

Its not an usual happening. Something interferes.

i turned off all firewall , stll doesnt work....

i restart my computer and turned on the firewall, still can only play few mins and back to PC menu .....i already closed all uncessary mod and ... dont know why

Try to disable all loaded things from the workshop for that game.

Local server means that you are hosting.

my case is that i can still play the game in official server before july and i went to vacation for a month, on sept, after play again, i cannot play offical server for any map , ( i didnt change everything before) , now i choose local server option without chose, but still back to PC menu...so frustrating

Do you use Linux? Some are complaining and attributing the problem to the Aug. 17 update.

If so, unfortunately there isn't a known fix. AFAIK, Valve has not acknowledged the complaint yet.

EDIT: Oh, there was an update. It seems to be flash related -- so it's the loading of ads (and MOTDs perhaps?) which causes the crashes. I'll try to figure this out.

no, i cannot use Linux in my pC platform,i only use dedicated server but still crash to menu after reinstall again , still have same problem....

why your server still not fixed yet, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating , i pay the money but your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ server always crash my game to pc menu , please pay me back the money
