your linux performance tips
I'm running ubuntu 13.04 desktop with fglrx-updated drivers, but my L4D2 in linux performance is not so good. I suspect I'm doing something wrong.

I'm in Unity right now, and I've had worse gaming performance in other desktop environments like LXED/KDE/GNOME, etc.

What are your tips for getting better/proper L4D2 performance in Linux?

AMD have better video drivers for Linux, I would suggest starting there
