dark game
i play today l4d2 and when i play the image is normal but 2 sec later its dark and can see nothing in the game the flaslights dont work any more what is this for problem of the game?

It started happening to me too recently, when u start playing in no mercy scavenge for example you see properly and two seconds later the image endarkness and its quite hard to play that way...I ve been told i a bug...and I ve read things on the internet...put brightness to maximum wont help...reinstall game wont help...when I get out of the game I see well so the screen has nothing to do....HELP pls

maybe you have too much addons installed.
or try to verify game caches.

Disable all of your add-ons.
Verify the integrity of your game cache. (Steam menu>L4D2 icon>Right Click>Properties>Verify)
See if that helps.

I don't have any add-ons installed...I don't even know how to manage them...and I've already done that cache thing and it says everything is fine...thank u anyway

It sounds to me like your monitor is dimming. I would check that, not the game.

I don't think so...When the game starts I see it properly for about 2, 3 or 4 seconds then it all goes dark...in scavenge I can barely play due to the lightning of the cans and teammates but I like to play vs realism and I tried once with this ♥♥♥♥ bug and I didn't even know where to shoot or where to move....dark as hell

I had the problem too. Full set brightness and so on, but the in the Game everything was dark. have the graphic driver types deleted and reinstalled. since no more problems.

Others have recently been reporting this. May be a Valve/Steam issue that you need to wait out.

every graphic card has an other menu. so you must search for it. settings.return to factory settings.

but notice it´s only a tip. i don´t know your pc so i don´t give any warranty.
