Getting a model?
Hey. I found this awesome model of Leon S. Kennedy here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=133332028&searchtext= and I was wondering how I could get them because I ain't own L4D2 and I want to download this model to import it in every other Source games. If I can, how do I do it?
Help me please, thanks.

1) Get permission from the uploaders/authors. This is important.
2) Get GCFScape. (Just Google it.) That will allow you to open .vpk files and extract their contents.
3) You'll need a model decompiler, such as MDLDecompiler or StudioCompiler, to turn .mdl files into something you can use in a modeling program.
4) You'll need a modeling program such as 3DS Max or Blender for rigging, weighting, all that jazz.
5) Good luck, have fun. (I cannot provide any more help than this.)

Addons aren't gma files? When I download addons for Gmod directly from the Workshop, there are the gma files. What do I take to extract them?

Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 addons come in a .vpk file format. I do not know the difference between the file types, but GCFScape will allow you to open the .vpk files with very little fuss. Once you open a .vpk with GCFScape, you can select "extract" from the interface and it will bring up a window asking where you want to extract it to. Select your location, and bang. Content un-vpk'ed.

Hey, I found the pack of RE6 characters in the same Workshop, I looked for the author's collection, he has done the same for gmod, so I am pleased! Thanks for helping me!
