If you search the workshop there are a couple of flashlight mods in there already, mostly that change the brightness. Most authors are cool to give you some advice if you contact them.

I haven't tried it but I opened one that I downloaded from Workshop. Download the programs gcf scape and VTF edit. Do de same as me, open the another Workshop flashligh with gcf scape and the substitute the .vtf file with yours (it has to be the same name, inside the same folder, height and width; 512x512). It shoul work.

PD: The corners must be black, if not the flashlight would be square.

(sorry for my bad english i'm spanish)
