Playing solo

So why does Vavlve have it set that if you play solo and get killed, that it says your teammates can still make it. I was playing dead center yesterday on advanced and had all but 8 gas cans down by the car ready to be dumped in, but I got killed by a hunter, since the bots for some reason strayed away from me. So if it is going to say your teammates can still make it, then why do they not dump the gas in the car, instead they just stand there. Poorly programmed bots if you ask me. I sure hope if Left 4 dead 3 does come out, that they have it so you can some how get the special infected off of you.

That can only go so far, the bots still cannot dump gas on their own. It's an issue of core programming, I don't think the bots are meant to do that stuff on their own as it would take at least some of the challenge out of the game, if bots did things for you.
As for freeing yourself from SIs, it defeats the co-op focus of the game. It would also mean more rushers with fewer consequences to them.

Bots normally are bad companions. Like on dead center - atrium, you can get smoked off the ledge and be hanging their and the bots will turn around, look at you being smoked, then continue ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around killing common infected.

Exactly, that is what I thought to, when you die the show is over.

There are mdos that allow the bots to play on in your absence, allowing you to be rescued from a closet.
