Don't know why you started another thread when it is almost the same as in link above. But i guess I will say this yet again.
Yes the game got harder. But not to the point where it is impossible. I went through Expert again on Single Player after the update. Was nothing to really complain about. I do not know when, where, why and or how you are getting killed there SiM0N. But it is nothing to really change back to.
It could also be the human element. This community is bad all around. Not just VS, but in Campaign as well. I guess when people are forced to adapt to the game & try harder when the game gets harder, they take the easy way out instead of working harder to get through.
- Common infected spawning in large numbers in safe houses during map horde events. Most obvious ones that come to my mind are Blood Harvest 3. Where the bridge breaks down. Blood Harvest 4. The train car safe house can have common spawn if you break line of sight. Or even closing the safe house door when no one is inside. Since that breaks line of sight, imagine my surprise when I looked into the safe house. Then heard dozens of common spawn in there when I shut the door. Another example is the end safe house on Death Tool 4. When rushing to the safe house. Again if no player line of sights the inside the safe house, lots of zombies will spawn & attack you.
- Special Infected spawn faster. And come out in more numbers. Expect campaign to somewhat mirror VS. As it is no longer suprising to see 3 SI's come at you now. And ANY combination. I even witnessed the directer spawn 2 Boomers together. Just to vomit on the survivors. Or even 1 hunter, 1 Jockey, & 1 Smoker to try to kill 3 survivors.
I play advanced and expert all the time and find them pretty easy. I was not aware of this development. Are you sure your team's teamwork isn't 0%?
There have been zero changes in difficulty. Just sayin'.. carry on.
But what SiM0N & some of us have said, is there is other elements that made the game harder. Spawning more common infected in more areas of the map when before they did not. And having special infected attack more often & in more numbers. And I am not the only one that has witnessed this. When we had some Friends Only campaign games on Advanced we noticed this as well.
Don't get me wrong. IF a change happened I am enjoying it. I truely believe L4D 2 needed a extra dose of " challenge " to the Campaign mode. And my family & friends agree that something to keep human players on there toes was needed as well.
Why the heck isn't it a permenant blacklist on that person if you kick them from your game? Not all of us use/have personal servers to perma ban. So yeah, it kind of puts me off from playing in pubs because of a-holes.
Hit shift tad to bring up the console.
Hit the view players tab,
You may have to hit the recent games tab as well.
Click on the person's profile.
To the right of their profile is a button tagged MORE,
Click on it and select block all communications.
Be sure to confirm at the end.
Whalla! They can no longer enter your universe,
unless they have multiple accounts.
