Campaign Quitters! :(
I FINALLY get to play L4D2 after selling my 360 years ago. But so many people quit in the campaign cause they're sucking. It's okay thats what your teammates pick you up for! SMH. Anyone wana do campaigns WITHOUT QUITTING? I didn't think this would be a problem for this game. I'm just trying to have fun not get ditched by everyone cause THEY suck.

Not everyone quits; but the ones who do, do so for different reasons.

I'd be willing to play with you if you want, I don't quit - unless it's a rescue (last part) of a level, and there's only the two of us. (Rescue levels are hard to do alone or with just two people)

Okay haha. Well on a rescue section, I had 3 people, but they didn't like prepare correctly and were running around like idiots and then quit -_-.

Ah, well, then that's just frustration - or boredom.

It takes a bit of trial and error, but I'm sure you'll build up a good group of people to play with.

I NEVER had this problem when I played during the 360 days. Everyone would actually stick around and be helpful.

Well, I suppose Steam has a wider array of players - and some can be rather rude or impatient.
It's easy for people to just quit and find someone else to play with or stir up trouble.

I'm not sure what to make of the situation on Xbox, since I only played campaign solo on it. :P

The rage quitting has gotten so bad I just do my best to ignore it. If I notice a chronic rage quitter then I leave them for dead. Because chances are, they will rage quit in the current game anyways. Making them quit earlier is better, since it will open a slot for another player.

1.6 hours played... I think you're the one who sucks. Many people quit in the campaign huh? You've played 3 campaigns... L2P and stop making these kinds of threads...

I've played 300+ hours and he's completely right. Noobs who only care about winning quit all the time. Why? Because they can't handle losing; they're that pathetic that they have to win in a game where winning literally has no effect whatsoever, there's no ranking system to speak of et cetera. You don't suck if you play the game and do your best to be a teamplayer and not quit. You suck if you rush ahead, abandon your teammates and quit the second it starts going wrong for your team. That's just immature and irresponsible.

Exactly.

Only time I ever see people quit campaigns is when their teammates suck. I normally give people a chance and retry once or twice but some people just cannot be helped.

The people I see quit keep dying even though I'm there to help them out. And I have a rotation of about 8 people on one character.

Ever tried playing versus? It's a nightmare finding a teammate who doesn't just outright leave for no distinguished purpose or leaves the second a match goes awry. For that matter, why do people leave when they're losing? It's not like they'll get something special if they win. In this case, it literally is the taking part that counts: if you really get so frustrated that you can't play a game if you're losing, you probably shouldn't ever play video games.

If I "quit", 95% of time it is because the game crashes.
Mithrix Jul 27, 2013 @ 2:11am
well its people who think there good but aren't and they rage quit because they think its a other persons fault
I'm thinking the same thing, honestly. The past few weeks I have met so many people quitting, and awful in general at the game. I understand that's the Steam summer sale, but at the same time... -.- L4AGT
