Versus match system based on exp/hours
Couldnt valve make a match system based on hours for versus matches?

Im ♥♥♥♥ed off playing with people who dont know how to play the game, who rage or who are just neophyte like all these people buying l4d2 nowadays for sales..

This is what I've wanted months :/. Or at least ability to rename lobby names/see hours on player's name. It would help newbies and experienced players.

They need to penalize leavers and idiots (similar to CS:GO). Just too many trolls and idiots around in versus, idocy has nothing to do with experience.

Well, unfair matches increasing the ragequitting. If about same levels (lets say like 0-500h, 500h+) would play in different games, there would be much less quitting.

indeed, and omega its not all about ragequitters, its about people who just came to the game and dont know anything about how to play versus and ruin fun of people who would like to have a decent match

I think a multiplayer system based on either time played or some sort of xp system could be an interesting addition.

Yes, balanced games are more enjoyable, but if you think play time is a good indicator you are horribly mistaken. It never works that way.
It needs a very elaborate attempt at grasping a player's skill, as well their team/play ability (like clanners, friends) to generate a proper "skill" indication.

You won't ever get balanced games by playtime alone, that never worked in any game I've seen doing this. And same with just "win" based ranking systems, these are flawed too, albeit better.

Simple examples that playtime isn't an indicator:
- You get playtime by being AFK in main menu
- You can play game modes other then versus (experience with surv, not with infected)
- You can play certain maps only and ingore others, resulting in no knowledge of certain maps
- You can have a lot experience from L4D1
- And most importantly, people learn things at a different rate. Some people with as little as 50h are better then some people with 1000+ hours; or to put it differnetly, people with a lot of play time are necessarily better then people with low play time
