Stupid Censored game

Alright so it's been a while since Australia has gotten it's R18+ rating. I and many other Aussie gamers have been waiting for months to see if valve would send L4D2 to get rated and now I am getting pretty tired waiting for..... anything XD. I was just wanting to know if anyone knows if it is going to be rated or if it's just going to stay censored forever? Having a censored zombie game just doesn't make sense XD

I'm guessing the game will be censored for some more time because the Austrailian government is denying it for classification I'm sorry for all the Aussie gamers because even other games like Saints Row 4 got banned there too

Oh wait wrong thing lol I thought LFD 2 was banned in Australia lol even though it isn't without censorship the game wouldn't be able to be classified a rating. But Saints Row 4 is the first game to completely get banned in Australia.

you must go to steam folder than common than on left4dead2 and on the LEFT4DEAD Folder than scroll down to steam than change the appID from 550 to 510 than go back on steamappid and change the app ID there i hope you can understand :)

I have had friends that have been VAC banned for changing that command line.... especially if you try to play online. Your only 3 options are:
1. Get the game gifted to you from a non-censored country (ie. US)
2. Wait for the censorship board to get their ♥♥♥♥ together and review the situation
3. Use this program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeEt_qe8E2U

The 3rd option listed works online.....but it will not allow you to get achievements unfortunately.

Where did the Saints Row 4 rumour start? I can still purchase it...and I'm from Australia.

I have no idea when they'll uncensor L4D2 for us that are in Australia so the only thing I can recommend is that you get someone who lives in America to gift you the game.
I got mine during the free weekend last year but since it was technically in my library already my friend traded it to me via a steam trade and I gave her a game of her choice.

I hope they do end up giving us the option to get the uncensored version, there's heaps of people I want to gift this game to but can't because of it. ;_;

So it was censored, not banned. Surprised they're still anal about that, the R18+ rating must not be that much different from the old MA15+ rating then (honestly haven't read the details much since it's still cheaper regardless to get it gifted from the US for most games).

It's is not the game that is stupid. It is your government making "stupid" decisions. Aussies and Germans are SOL when it comes to games censorship :(

How does that exe file work??
i also don't want to run an exe in background that modifies the game :x

Don't use modified EXE file. Just don't. Having gore is not worth having a ban. Best solution is to trade with someone from non-censored country in Europe (avoid Germans though - they also have censorship) and North + South America (since most of gamers are from these areas). Another thing is to wait for L4D1/2 go on 75% off sale. Don't get ripped off then.

You can also send ticket to Valve to uncensor your game.

Yeah, everything is banned in australia XD
Also, I found that for some reason I'm getting the uncut intro even though I have the censored game. Any of you guys had this?
