Well my RAM is 4GB and Processor is 2.13GHz, which should hold up to games that are big, but not like WoW big.
But my graphics card is like so low after checking it. Intel HD Graphics. I'm not even sure this card is high enough to play TF2 properly unless on smaller maps (from testing many options).
It could be this horrid card but I don't have money to change it, knowing changing one piece of hardware is going to lead up to having me buying parts for $300-$500. Maybe higher if I want to game on big games like Planetside 2 or WarFrame with higher FPS.
But yes, make sure you have the paged pool memory set to high.
Also try:
-setting anti-aliasing to none
-v-sync off
-try disabling/enabling multi-core rendering and see which setting works better for you, different users have reported different results as to which one works better for them.
-set all video settings to low.
-go to the library tab in steam and right click on left 4 dead 2 and go to properties -> launch options and type -lv into the launch options to set low violence mode which will make the infected bodies disappear very quickly after they die which reduces the vram usage and amount of rendering power needed.
-lower your resolution to the lowest setting (may require you to change the aspect ratio first 4:3 has the lowest possible setting).
If you try all of that and you're still struggling to maintain a decent framerate, then sadly your pc just isn't strong enough.
