You will get kicked because you will have no idea what you are doing. Do not attempt to play vs unless you have over 100 hours at the game, Thats just friendly advice.

That`s a funny thing here people just kick because someone is bad. No worries even if you have exp. you will be kicked for being a bad charger. Some just take the gaming to serious here ;-)

Yes, just play campaign first until you get used to the game. Also, some basics that you should know about the game.

-shut doors behind you
-you can one shot hunters mid-air if you aim for the stomach
-crown witches by shooting their belly if their standing up
-melee when a hunter is about halfway to you in a pounce and you will block them (deadstop)
-always clear common
-if you're surrounded by common and you're stuck, do a 360 spin + melee
-be aware of your surroundings at all times
-stick with your teammates as survivor, attack together as infected
-you can prevent yourself from getting smoked by a smoker if you chop their tongue with a sword
-as a spitter, you always want to spit on a pounce or a charge, try not to spit alone unless you think their stuck in a spot somewhere and can't get out
-find yourself a good auto exec file... having a good autoexec can improve your performance in games

Anyway, those are just some things about the game you should know. There's a lot more... you just need to find some good players and learn from them.

Having 100 hours doesn't magically give you Versus experience. Playing versus gives you versus experience. Saying "don't play versus until you have X amount of hours" is terrible advice. You don't magically learn the game at a certain amount of hours. Telling them to learn the game mechanics by playing single player or online campaigns first is better advice. What Jadenyah above me said is even better advice. That's the type of advice that actually helps a player to get better. With that being said, it's much more fun to find nice, friendly people to play with. =) It's really a great game when you play with nice people.

dude just log on to a new game, if they kick you then you wouldn't have wanted to play with them anyway
