How do I stop L4D2 from installing itself?
I bought this game and I don't like it.

I uninstalled it.

I set L4D2 to not update automatically.

But when ever I start downloading another game through Steam, L4D2 begins to download after it. Somewhere (I cant remember where), it says downloading L4D2 add-on support.

I then can pause the download, then right click Left 4 Dead 2 to uninstall it, which takes forever to do nothing. I close Steam, I go to the steamapps>common folder, delete it from there and then delete the two BLOB files in the main Steam folder, then restart Steam. Everything is fine until I begin to download another game.

What is the deal?

Check your tools list if you still have the Add-on Support installed, and uninstall that as well.

It's demanding you to play.

That seems to have done the trick.
