Just play your share of L4D games. There's a ton of jackasses out there, but you're bound to run into a few people that turn out to be pretty chill gamers. You can do whatever you like, but my advice would be to not "force" any relationship with another player. Just play and see what happens. Friend them if you liked playing with them. You'll develop a solid friendbase over time. The stereotype is that there's "no girl gamers" out there, but there's a lot more than you'd think. Hope you find a few you can stick with!
