No. The Game community killed Left 4 Dead by the way it treats players and the same community will declare the third one a flopped because L4D 3 will cater to new players not the idiot vets of L4d 2.

Think about it, if the demand for l4d3 goes up, they'd delay hl3 so that they can give us what has largest demand, in this case, l4d3.

I know exactly what you mean. But you never know. L4D 3 might be a successful game. L4D 1 people wanted L4D 2 to be free. Like how they handled TF 2. And that did not work. L4D 2 was really successful despite people wanting to boycott it. And it may happen like that for L4D 3 should Valve produce it.

As for the game play. Chances are I don't think Valve will change it that much. The change from L4D 1 to 2 was not as drastic as people put it. I adapted to it. I think most people did as well. And I think people will adapt to L4D 3, should Valve make changes to the game play.

L4d3 will need lot of changes, starting with the shooting system (in 2013 u cant use
half life 1/counter strike 1.6 system)
everyone will adapt but the people who played too much l4d2 will complain about it and thrown crap on the forum, cause there little tricks wont work anymore

Half Life 3 and Left For Dead are both in the works, getting developed on the new Source 2.0 engine that will be competing with Unreal 4 and the next gen consoles

I'm telling you if you like L4D2 even halflife 2 the way it is you're gonna cry about the new games because even though Valve will try to cater to the fanboys-it is indeed going to make room for new player as well.

That means the voting to kick people because they suck at the game ain't going to be as smooth as it is here in L4d 2. If it gets abused the devs gonna be putting some L4d2 brats in their place because Valve wants to make money on their new games.

This means the free rides they been giving fanboys is gone and some infractions will be made. It also means on the forums everbody is gonna cry. Most likely how dear old daddy Valve has forgotten about their kids (Vets) which won't be true. Its just the course of how games take. Valve needs to make up the money they spent on making L4d 3 / Halflife 3.

Well maybe ! But I wouold love to see new special infected. Or more normal infected. New survivors. New campaigns. New guns. New body to body weapons. Alot of new things :) Anyway thanks for the question !

Anyways, demands aside, they need to fix ALOT of glitches, and get rid of death animations, they glitch into walls and are very odd, when you fall off a ledge you still have the animation of lying on a flat surface. Also, when getting on odd places and being on ledge mode, then falling about an inch and instantly dieing needs to be fixed. I would put on reasonable fall damage, falling 20 ft = -40 health for instance.
