L4D2 - Will Australia get an Uncensored release?

Hi,
I hope someone from Steam can answer this.
Now that Australia has the R+ rating for games, will we see a release of the uncensored version of L4D2? While it is quite common knowledge that you can mod the game so you can play single player uncensored, it would be great to actually play multiplayer with the rest of the community without being discriminated against (IE. Getting kicked because if we play online the whole server has to play censored).
It has been a great trial campaigning for the R+ classification and now that we have it, this is one game I would like to enjoy - as the developer intended.
Not to mention the benefit of potential sales when all that is needed is a couple of minor changes. Isn't that worth the effort of re-submitting it for Australan release? Or even two releases with one censored and one uncensored?
Please, I feel you owe it to the faithful 18+ audience.

Well it should be, its kind of stupid it hasnt. But I was lucky enough (though you can get into trouble for it so ive read/heard) but got the overseas version sent to me. But really it should be uncencored any 18+ is allowed to be bought within Australia

I think Valve have to resubmit it to the classification board for review before the censorship can be lifted.
Can someone from Valve please reply to this and advise whether this has or will happen? I have been putting off buying this game until the uncensored version is released. Hopefully I won't have to wait much longer... right?

Valve has said that they will look into it! I trust valve and I know that they respect their customers. Chances are they will release a patch later this year!

i think we should get a free DLC that adds full violence.
i wont buy a second copy just for the gore to be added in. even if the DLC has to be like 99 cents thats fine but as long as i wont need to purchase the game a second time.

No need to purchase the game or add DLC as you can modify the existing config because you already have all the content. Unfortunately that only works on single player.
All they need to do is patch it so we have the same config as the uncensored versions so we can play online. While people say we CAN play online, I tried again a month ago and was booted when they worked out I was the lamo with the censored version of the game that was ruining all their fun by limiting the server content.

VALVe could have at least let the bodys stay instead of disappearing in the censored version, thats annoying

Hi Valve! No comment on the topic of L4D2 resubmission since Chet Faliszek said:

"We have been exploring the options here and what we can legally do. We will have more information on this when we understand the issues fully and how we are moving forward but don't worry any cost associated with it doesn't worry us, this is something we want to do."

I'll be honest, I put a lot of hours into L4D2 and did not even realize it was censored :P

1. Valve will likely not bother to re-release a 4 year old game which they already made free once, especially just for one region.
2. You can play the uncensored version online with anybody you want without other people needing to be uncensored.

How so? I know you could change a config file but it only worked for single player but how can you play multiplayer uncensored?
