Quick Question
Is there any point to buying both L4D and L4D2? Isn't mostly everything from L4D playable in L4D2?

All of the L4D versus and campaign maps got ported into L4D2 but the majority of the L4d survival maps are not in L4D2. So, basically, the main difference is that L4D has survival maps not in L4D2 and has different gameplay due to the lack of melee weapons, some guns, and SI such as the jockey and charger.

No melee weapons? Wow, that must suck.

L4D was great to play before L4D2 and the updates, while it's true that it's pointless to buy it now- it wasn't when it first came out. Also some don't like L4D2's melee or maps, etc.
