Is there no split screen?
Kinda lame considering its the reason why i bought this

There is Split screen.

you HAVE to use 360 controllers(or other controllers emulated as 360 controllers) though.

There is an easier way. Install this addon and it will add a splitscreen option to your main menu.

Hello, I installed the mod, and playing with two xbox 360 controllers, I noticed the second one cant look up/down. Is there a solution to that?

Not to be a smart aleck but the easiest way to play splitscreen is getting it for the 360.

Yes, the easiest way to play L4D2 without using any custom mods and/or custom campaigns is to play on the Xbox 360. You may try this method if you don't mind playing the same campaigns over and over with your friend in spilitscreen mode.

I edited the file and the problem is still the same, second controller is everithing ok except for looking down and up. In fact, comparing the edited one with the original one I can't find the diference.

I tried to check the Portal 2 files because it works great in that game, bit it has different file names...

Every time there is a sale on L4D2 I check if they integrated a split screen mode like in Portal 2, but they just don't do that. Bummer.

I figured out the fix to the look problem. You just have to put "cmd2" in front of

+jlook // enable joystick look

So it will read:
// controller2 bindings
cmd 2 +jlook // enable joystick look
...etc

additionally if you need to have your look inverted add this line somewhere in your .cfg file

joy_inverty2 1

I've got this working on both L4D 1 and 2 without any problems now. Now all we need is a way to incorporate local co-op with online play.
