The special infected The Scream was implemented in the first game of Left4Dead. Sadly the character was taken out of the game do to lack of appearance and was difficult for survivors to spot.

The rumors of the makings of Left4Dead3 I want Valve to try to implement the character back into the game with better appearance. The link above is the information of the character. Please help me bring suggestions to Valve to implement this special infected back into the game.

dunno dude.... they used that in Resident Evil 6... a zombie dude who scream so loud the zombies goes nuts... i think they should dump all these crappy specials(the l4d1 managed them better) and include some ultra-violent super zombies, with relative inteligence and creepy bloody visuals.

plus would be very cheap on versus, since yopu just gotta scream, and hide.
with the boomer you have to atleast connect the bile.

Teh Screamer was cut for gameplay reasons. When Valve cuts something for gameplay reasons, it's probably not coming back.

I don't remember the screamer ever being in Left 4 Dead 1.

It wouldn't be a playable character. That doesn't make much sense at all. But you could have a witch like encounter where he makes a noise so you know where he is, but if you alert him by shooting him or making sudden movements, he rages and runs away.

its to similar to the boomer, each special needs its own attack which can also work with other special infecteds attacks to deal even more damage.
