Steam Achievements won`t update - NOT A NOOB!!

So my buddy and I have played thru all l4d2 campaigns on expert together - aside from the Parish - I have unlocked with each successful escape and he has not been notified of anything - so obviously I have nothing left to prove while he very much does - unfortunately. And just to get it out of the way - no we didn`t have any cheater mods on (or any at all) and yes - we both made it out of the finale ... but he hasn`t gotten an achievement since the carnival I believe.

Much as I find this hilarious he`s a but upset and I can`t find anything online to help except for something similar from 2-yr-old posts - which aren`t very helpful just a bunch of folks whining....

So ... any takers - ideas - insults? Would be much appreciated ... would prefer not to have to go back to the damned sugar mill just for the sake of camraderie ;)

Make sure your friend did not add any mods or workshop items that modify weapons or the infected; this can disable steam achievements (akin to cv_cheats).

Yup - checked that already - forgot to put it up there ... thanks all the same. All we`ve done is play helms deep a coupla times so far anyway.

Is their steam community overlay enabled? Did they actually play through all of the maps in the campaign? Did they go idle at any point and stay idle while entering a safe room?

@ Marked One - Yes - yes - and fairly certain - yes. Not to worry though - we decided to start over and see which ones had glitched ... soon as he did Dead Centre he was up to 4/5 .... so time to get the gnome I guess!
