Won't Launch
Every time I try to launch L4D2 and HL2 Ep.2, a message shows up saying, "Failed to create D3D device!" What can I do?

I don't have that kind of problem what says " failed to create D3D device!" but i also have an badly problem about Valve Games like HL2, Left For Dead 2 (No More room in hell). Always when i try to launch it, the game sends me Fullscreen-Blackscreen and after like 1 second it sends me back to the desktop without a message! I didn't paid for the Orange box to get problems launching it .-.

The second problem is that my Internet ( O2 ) sucks @ss

That could also be a factor in your games not working. And it also slows down the download on your game. If you got a desktop that sucks maybe trying to move it to a newer location if possible but if its a laptop i suggest getting near the router (or modem i always get mixed up with the names) and that should speed it up. it took me about 2 hours to get to the halfway point on l4d2 but i moved closer and it took the next half about 30 minutes

I needed like 4 Hours to download Hl2 ._. and I can't really adjust it that good because the cable of my Internet Stick is only as long as the Computer is and between my PC and the Router is the Flatscreen TV and a Door/Wall. But it could also be because my Graphic cards screwed up once. It was as i was surfing in the internet, and having YouTube open in another window, then suddenly my screen resolution screwed up. As i restarted it, The most of my good and new games like Fallout 3 said that my Direct X was way too bad or on another Downloadable Multiplayer-Flash game said that if i want to have the full access to all features, i do need a Graphic Card size of 16 MB, and that my current size was 0. I updated DirectX and stuff and it still didn't work

My graphics card isnt much better. I havent even gotten one for this computer other than the one that came with it. I have a dell 2009 laptop that supports windows 7 (which really limits my gaming options)
