In L4D2, in 1 hour, you can barely set your controls and graphic options and complete half a campaign as a noob. I ask them if they played campaign, one says "No", I tell them politely that they should start with that before they become a little better and I tell them that I am not trying to be a douche but it is just that they are clearly not ready to play versus. I give them advice on the mic while we play, they say "I don't care". So basically, here you are in VS playing a team based game, with more or less 1 hour, not caring about the team. And now those same noobs wish to understand why the community is so "BAD" and votekicks them.
It is from experiences such as these that ALL noobs or low hour players get kicked, no matter if some are willing to understand and cooperate. If you have a bad experience with a woman in a relationship or two, you are likely to hate them and maybe avoid them.
If only all the noobs did the same as OP, that'd be such a service and relief to the community.
You forgot the dot at the end.
