Addon installer not working MAC

I tried to download add ons for L4D2 but when clicking it after download it says 'addoninstaller' damaged or not working... Can anybody help me with this ?

Yes, Valve… Please help, resolve! When I search for addoninstaller, I find an application with a barred-sign over it.
So get to work, I want to play Yama for L4D2!

Doesn't the addon installer just move .vpks into the right folder? You can do that manually once you find the \addons\ folder. On PC, it's "Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\"

no , if you follow the prescriptions on the site of sourcefinagler it should work , since i have it , every addon works, you just have to open the addon with source finagler (when you choose 'open with' there are 2 possibilities to open it with the program, try both , one of them will do the trick

That's right, I solved 2 days ago by putting it inside (User Home Folder) ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/left4dead2/addons/ …!
