game not loading

hi all,
having a problem where after i click the link to play the game, it says now loading Left for Dead 2 and then it just stays that way.. can't seem to find any solutions, ive even tried redownloading the game to no avail... any ideas ?

p.s. ive tried checking files etc, and Im playing on a mac

well... that's strange...
Try to uninstal and install steam again . or try the same thing but in the game.

what do you mean in the game? I cant open the game.

I'm having the same issue. I click on the game it says" Preparing to launch Left 4 Dead 2" and that's it, disappears, game doesn't start. It wasn't doing that earlier yesterday.

yep same here, was working the other day and now its not, just deleted steam and left for dead 2, will re-download the 14g and try again *sigh*

Same here, I've tried everything. Ive reinstalled it 3 times.

ok im sorted, i found an applescript through googling. it was a problem with peerguardian as far as a could tell.
find the script and your problem is solved.

i recently purchased this game. I have 0 Addons and have only been able to successfully LAUNCH the game once...

i have 3 other games on Steam and they all work and LAUNCH fine
