have the same issue, it was working fine after update dled, but i went and defrag steam folder, after that as soon as i click ADD-ON i get CTD, that easy! tried to validate,. it updates some 7.3 MB file the same as always,(as i would think) but w/o any luck, still crashes. Well for now im using this crash feature to actually quit the game lol

Ok so i just tried one thing, i had just one custom map in L4D2 addon folder. and now there is also workshop folder where we used to put manually custom maps, in that workshop folder as i see are all mods you have d/l. So after i simply deleted that custom map, (NOT the workshop folder itself, its still there) which was there prior workshop rolled out, now i dont have crash every time i visit Add-On ingame. IDK if this will help you if you seeing same crash, and if you have more than 1 file/map or whatnot.

Yea its all good no crash as you go in game add-on, but now when i play with filter tags some of'em. like weapon.. etc. couse my game to froze like hell, not responding crap, ctrl-alt-del only way to workaround and kill process.. well i guess i wont be playing with those filters than.

EDIT: just clicking on any add-on couse my game to freeze also.

"conflict between 2 addons" warnings, in game crashing, freezing when hiting the addon button, lag when using a lot of addons. a complete dissaster for me I'm afraid.
