That's strange. What did you play? Versus? Follow the Liter? Campaign?

Other players can only kick from from that Session, but they can't ban you.

When you are kicked from a server you get banned so you cannot join that game again (it assumes you got kicked for a good reason i.e. griefing) It's a good feature and I'd rather it be there than not. But I'd also like to know what game mode you were playing because with 105 hours I can understand why someone might kick you from a scavenge game :/

People kick people for no reason, you can't create a discussion every time or it'd be blocked up with this same comment

Why do people say that they get kicked for NO REASON. That's not true at all. I play constantly and rarely see people get kicked for NO REASON like you say. People kick noobs that play 30 hours and jump into versus, which is normal. Maybe not for noobs, but it is for players who do not find pleasure in babysitting and losing a game because of that.

It is not because you are too new to the game to understand why you got kicked, that this automatically means you got kicked for NO reason.

That's not true, I see people check how many hours has someone played the game and if it's little time, they'll kick inmediately without even seeing if you are good or not "He has xx hours, kick"

I was playing a versus game with three other people at a LAN game, and we ended up getting the same team; four 'random' players got into the other team, and I say 'random' because two of the players instantly took the same team, Survivor, and joined in quick succession.. They ended up steamrolling us to a degree, and I believe they got two or three to the safe room on the first map of No Mercy; one player ended up dying completely, and then we had our turn as Survivors. I believe we got wrecked just before the stairs to the safe room, but we had fun; on the next map, they ended up kicking the person who died just before they left the safe-room because he was 'bad'.

Guess who joined? Some elite who could dead-stop Jockeys and Hunters, while we essentially got rolled every time; I mean really, it turned into a pub-stomp that wasn't fun for anyone. In this case, can you possibly say the player who got kicked deserved it, even if he had low hours? There's a difference between losing, getting pub-stomped and having a good match; clearly, some players simply have an ego a little to big for themselves, and simply can't stand losses.

Kicking based on hours is absolutely ludicrous; it's elitism, plain and simple, in a game that doesn't reward victory in any way. I can understand if you simply get no opportunity to even attack the Survivors, which results in consistent respawn timers with no damage done, while as the Survivors you simply die in spawn; in those cases, I think it's acceptable to kick someone. Kicking them because they can't dead-stop every bloody Jockey that comes at them, or because they miss a death charge, is absolutely ridiculous, and yet happens to someone in most games I've played; exactly how do people suppose you get better, if you're not allowed to fail?

If you know the basics, I fail to see why you should be kicked from a game merely because you don't meet the elitist standards of your team-mates; I'm not going to play fifty hours with bots just to get the 'privilege' to play online with real players, considering how trolls can easily infest public games. People need to learn to think about something other than their over-inflated ego, as well as stop deliberately rigging games; it's ludicrous, promotes bad tendencies on the part of players and restricting public modes to players who have 'accomplished' something in terms of hours is, in every sense of the word, idiotic.

Listen, the L4D2 community is a disgrace. It's hard to go into a server without getting kicked for some stupid reason. Accidentally die? "WOW YOU SUCK NOOB" *VOTE KICK STARTED* *VOTE KICK PASSED* "You have been disconnected".

Its something you have to get used to, the L4D2 community does not like to have fun, they just like to whine and rage.

Luckly, in those cases, you can block the sucker who called the vote so you won't have to meet him in another game again...

Try not to do this. I appreciate you not starting them, but It still makes it really hard for new players to learn how to play, and makes them hate the gamemode very quickly. That was me. And I assume a lot of other people were in the scenario too. For some reason the community is more snotty and stubborn than Dota 2's community, and that really doesnt make sense because L4D2 is not a competitive game. People are just stuck up a$$ holes.

You are the kind of person destroying the community. Let new players play, or else they shall forever be new. Perhaps it's not NO REASON, but it certainly is a stupid reason. L4D2 is not a serious game, and people should not be taking it that seriously.

l4d2 has a bad community when it comes to vs and scavenge. This is why most people don't play anymore and why you need to join with a buddy to prevent kicking. It's sad how few good ppl there are in these things. When I say good I mean not jerks. I'm not the best but Im no noobie. I feel bad for those just starting out. Most stop playing because of fear of getting kicked. I try and help em out and learn the ropes

People need to grab a beer and relax

I completely agree whit kira. Come on it's just a game. I once wanted to play a versus game, and I had the luck tobe in the team were 3 firends were playing. We died, and instead of kicking, they simply laughed and added me. And I know I don't have 231544987987954532 hours of gameplay, but that's only because I have other things to do in my life, besides just playing, like, going out whit friends, watch movies, or study for some exams. Also, since when hours of gameplay determines if someone is good or not? I have a friend who bough this game a few weeks ago, and he asked me to play on expert whit him and we did it. But what I mean is this is a cooperative game. It is for you to have fun whit your friends, laugh when a charger grabs you and runs whit you out of the building. It's just a game nothing more. And this is what these people need to understand. Besides there is no reward at winning this game, so I don't see why victory is so desired by these "elitist" players.

130 hrs playing l4d2 (kira) and 57 hrs playing (kojavs) are talking about "bad community", rofl! Stop talking about this game until you ll play at least 200 hours.

Exactly how are you defending the point that the community isn't horrible, considering how they both have a fair number of hours played, in terms of time and not comparison, while you adopt an elitist mindset based only on hours played? I mean really, you pretty much contradicted yourself in a point that you can't even support with any kind of logistic backing; if anything, you ended up proving their point for them, which is hilarious given your attitude.

I don't bother with Versus Mode, if I want competitive gameplay I usually play TF2. I'm more into Expert Camp. Mode. I love me some Expert Realism but nobody really plays that. If anything I get kicked for no reason sometimes if I join a lobby. Obviously they were waiting for a friend but they were kind of stupid for not saying so, and stupid for not setting the proper permissions. I woulda left if they asked :P

It is what it is, dont let people get you down.

Also custom mission maps are pretty fun. Im really looking forward to RE: Outbreak File 2 and Silent Hill 2 if they come out. Dawn of the Dead was nice as well.
