Installing L4D2 in alternate Steam Library Folder
So in the latest steam versions you can now choose a custom directory to install steam, I've noticed L4D2 doesn't give you the option which sucks because my games run better when installed on my non o/s hdd then when they are on my ssd. I've been told by a friend that Valve games don't seem to give an option for changing install location. I'd like to know if they will make it possible for changing install directory for Valve games of L4D2 atleast?

Exit the Steam client application.
Browse to the Steam installation folder for the Steam installation you would like to move (C:\Program Files\Steam by default).
Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps folder and Steam.exe
Cut and paste the whole Steam folder to the new location, for example: D:\Games\Steam\
Launch Steam and log into your account.

Verify game cache for any games already installed and it should work.
