Left 4 Dead 2
With the new R18+ Video Game Rating coming in effect on 1st Jan in Australia
With the new rating now available in Australia can Valve re-release Left 4 Dead and Left4 Dead 2 with the content that they had to "cut/remove" so that it met Australia MA rating? I would like to experience the game as it was intended to be.... What do other people think from Australia? Do you want un-censored content?

Damn right - I haven't played this game since I bought it almost 2 years ago and REFUSE to play it until they put back in the violence and gibs that EVERY MOTHER-LOVING man was expected to SEE in this game.
Is there anyone else out there in Australia that wants games made available to them like Left 4 Dead with the original content with the new rating? I am sure that Valve can determine who is old enough easily enough or ask them to indicate their age? Come On everyone....can we put up a vote for original content???
I was gifted the australian version (live in northern europe) and, though I want to play it, simply can't because of how absolutely ridiculous the censorship is. Contacted Steam support about this a while ago and they pretty much said there's nothing to be done, so don't get your hopes up. If they actually did do the right thing they'd see a spike in players.
Yeah I'm really hoping that the uncut version gets released I would love to play the game PROPERLY!
Yep, played for about 5 minutes and gave up. Waiting for the update.
Thanks its great to see that other people are also interested to see this and other games potentially re-released for R18+ classification. Is there some way to raise this with Valve somehow? Can we run a poll on Steam? This should not be hard....maybe Value can issue a "unlock" code to unlock the 18+ content that way we take the responsibility to "upgrade" our content and this will leave Valve safe from a 'legal' perspective as the onus is on us. Maybe use Credit Card to verify our age? I wonder if Value reads these forums...if they see this a comment either way would be great so at least we are aware of the situation! I thought Valve being a leading "forward thinking" company woudl have jumped on this opportunity to offer games the experience that us "adults" deserve and want!...come on Valve.. :-)
I'm pretty sure they'd have to send it back in for certification which would (probably) be too much effort for a game with so many years behind it already. Valve have done weirder things though, maybe if there is a bigger outcry something will happen.
