Let's put an end to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ already
Alright. So I've been searching for people to play casual fun games in Versus, yet everytime I make a lobby or enter one, I always have the bad luck of falling on people who take this game way too seriously. You know, those guys who will cry whenever you don't execute that charge EXACTLY like they wanted you to. But I don't want to add a bunch of people and always have to find the right time to play, with timezones and all that. So maybe create a group for casual players? I dunno. I wanted to know if there was anybody interested, otherwise I'll just leave it at that. So yep. Anybody in?

I was about to make a topic complaining about the same thing :O
I just want to have a little fun, but frequently when I make a little mistake, or I'm not playing my best and end up at the bottom of the scoreboard, I get kicked. Just got kicked 3 times in a row. It's ridiculous, just want to have a little fun.

Maybe they dont take it too seriously
Maybe its because you have 79hours and have lost nearly 9/10ths of games youve completed
Just maybe

What? I have played over 130 hours, both L4D and L4D2. And most of the games I played were just for fun with friends, therefore winning wasn't that much of a big deal.

But seriously, though, who the hell cares about statistics when you're just playing a game to have fun? If you want a real challenge, play on Expert Realism or something.

You're literally saying that Expert Realism is nothing compared to normal campaign where the SI are controlled by players. You guys make it too easy to prove your incompetence. Smh.

Clearly you have trouble interpreting what you read. Expert realism provides its own challenges but still cant compare to what a good team can dish out. The director doesnt magically start forming full on coordinated attacks meant to isolate and destroy just because the SI and common are dealing more damage.

Or maybe...just maybe you are one of the very people that take the game too seriously.

If you are counting hours played you are part of the problem.

Hours are a great way to get a sense of most people skill levels. Have I encountered people highly skilled with low hours? Yes. Does that happen often? lol.

I was about to say the same thing. OP made it clearly he wants to play for fun, not to win, let alone be obsessed about statistics. Did you consider that for many people, the fun lies playing with like-minded players who just want to have a good time together instead of cussing and kicking each other? Winning isn't everything for everybody.
You may never see this or agree to it, but it's 100% true.

Im not complaining about the steps they're taking if anything I applaud that. Its just the fact that they think the issue is people taking the game too seriously. Its rare for me to ever leave a versus game even while losing and I could care less about my stats. I do care about having a good time. I can have a good time losing if its for the sole reason of the other team just plain being better. If I have someone on my team clearly holding us back and I mean clearly not just a weak link theyre gone and Im sure the OP would be in that first category.

This community is a ♥♥♥♥hole but the pub community has strayed far from the perfection demands there have been in the past. After all the sales and all the noob just wanting to instajump into versus we just want some non ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players on our team. Thats the best you can hope for these days.

You don't know wtf you're talking about if you think that there isn't any comparison. The SI in Expert Realism aren't stupid, they may not be as coordinated but they sure as hell aren't pushovers. And again, comparing normal campaign to Expert Realism is laughable. You could have at least done versus realism lmao.

Once again you clearly have trouble interpreting what youre reading. I was never talking about normal campaign and have always been talking about normal versus in comparison to expert realism. Versus realism is another story but its hard to find any let alone a good game. It's really amazing that you could miss that twice now but seeing as you've only played two full versus games and lost both I can see why you wouldnt understand.

>I said normal campaign where the SI are controlled by players.
>Dumb@ss says I can't interpret what I'm reading.
>Dumb@ss continues on saying that I can't interpret what I'm reading after I've explained it twice.

The amount of proof of stupidity is already sufficient but if you want, keep going, gives me more material to use whenever I want to prove my point to another egotistical ♥♥♥♥♥.

Please show me where I was ever talking about normal campaign and continue to be an idiot.

Actually, that's precisely what specials on Realism/ Hard Eight expert do. It's not about computing maximum dmg; it's about turning the spawns into timed attacks to create a more destructive combination once they've been performed. Give a jockey enough speed, and he'll almost always jockey you into a witch if they're nearby. Smokers into witches, spitters spitting to where the chargers at, jockeys around the boomed survivor being focused upon by the tank while the other specials seek to lock up the other survivors...

It's coordinated to deliver max control with a deliberate moderation of dmg done to the survivors to burn them down and destroy them, exactly so, obviously not in the way we could call them human. The main difference, a legit but controversial point you give, between expert realism and versus (besides the obvious prevelance of a dynamic that regulates extreme dmg combos and a level of over-all difficulty into a more suitable formate presentable with a rush and park style, combined with a similar system of constant cc-chains) is that the computed aren't full blown 'humanly-coordinated', which is itself susceptible to dissection.
