Today I had a game in which I was stuck with too guys that simply didn't realize what to do. They thought this game was some kind of tower defense game, they just waited at the safe room and didn't leave it. They also didn't move after I explained them how to play.
All of the games since those weeks are like that, maybe 1 out of every 15 game I play is good, the rest just sucks.
Left4Dead 2 used to be a game were people kicked noobs, today there are only noobs.
LOL, I was playing at the start of L4D1 and the standard was incredibly poor, it makes the noobs of today look like pros compared to the players back then. But it didn't really matter because all of us were noobs at the start of L4D1, and the community was amazing because we were all noobs, just learning together.
Its not that the l4d community is inherently bad, its just that the game is so dependent on your teammates not screwing up that causes the problem of kicking. TF2 is a team game as well, but the team is much larger, one person screwing up is okay, and there's auto team balance. Also, they never write your win loss ratio, they only record your best individual performance.
And +1 to disspelling the myth that people were ever good at L4D. Because it's a zombie title, and zombies are cool for some stupid reason, you get people who have never played a shooter or a multiplayer title in their lives coming to play this game. And it has always been that way. L4D was so full of unskilled players(some with over 100 hours), it was the dominant reason I stopped playing it.
I am just tired of that crap, I just want to start a game and play it serious, I don't want to check 4 or 5 different servers to finally find a decent game.
At the end of it I was the only one with health as I had rationed my health kit (also because I only managed to get 3 through an entire campaign).
