"BOO-HOO, I got kicked again, community is horrible!" - Noobs, here is the reason why you get kicked.
The reason why all you whiny noobs get kicked is because you endanger the whole team.

Here's a perfect example from one of my matches today:
Dead Center, Hotel.
We all know the smoker spot under the ledge, at least the players with some experience. Everybody went into the first room, the one with the fire. Except for the noob, of course. And of course he gets smoked down, hangs from the edge.
One person tries to help him, gets jockeyed off the edge. I try to help them, get charged off the ledge, instant kill.
All that trouble is completely unnecessary, if that noob had listened for the smoker, or listened to us, or just had followed us through the fire room.
Next time somebody gets to hang from the ledge because of his own stupidity - I'm not gonna help them up anymore.

And that's just one of many, many examples of blatant idiotism, sprinkled with arrogance and a "lol, it's just a game, dude!"-attitude, which just kills the gameplay in L4D2, since you are depending on your team.
Noobs who wander off, who hang back, who just run away after you helped them up and get charged or smoked in the process, noobs who let a hunter go to town on your for 10 seconds before even trying to help you, noob who are oblivious to their surroundings and don't listen for special infected noises,etc.,etc.
This list could go on and on and on. And that's just the survivor team, where you can forgive little mistakes, except for those things like the ledge in the hotel.

Playing noobish as special infected affects the whole team.
If you are the Boomer, everybody is waiting for you to iniate the attack, and you just stand there and have no idea what to do - don't be surprised if a kickvote comes up immediately.
If you don't spawn out of ghost mode at the very last moment you are giving away your position - another thing that makes your infected absolutely useless, and will people want to get you kicked.

People like this I encounter all the time. Less than 10 hours played, but playing Versus. They get you killed as survivor if you try to help them out of the ♥♥♥♥ they got themselves into, and they are absolutely useless as special infected, attacking by themselves and doing about zero damage.

Nobody gets kicked for no reason at all, and all you noobs are whining here on the forums because you don't even understand the game well enough to realize what mistake you made.

Seriously, play single player, play campaign, and don't get your noob butt into a Versus match until you are a reliable teammate as survivor.

This is so true, those noobs should learn and play campaign first until at least 200 hours.

So.. pay money... spend a lot of hours on just campaign or single player... sounds legit to me. I agree that some people need to play some games or beat the campaigns before trying to do them competitively to learn the maps better but games are meant to be enjoyed and to have fun. This is my opinion but I already know how ♥♥♥♥ty the L4D community is so its not like this matters but... if you want to have a good versus without anything getting messed up.. do team VS... or find a group of people to play with... if you just goto Quick Match or Join a random lobby don't expect pro players... people learn by playing so get over it and just enjoy it for what its worth...

Milkman, casual games are for fun. In games like cod you don't have to think a lot, those games are so easy you just walk through them. Left4Dead is not a casual game. In this game you must earn your fun.

Hope your not serious Jockey...

I am serious. I am no more a child, I don't want to play games in which everybody wins and everybody is happy. I want hard and brutal games in which my enemies are as good or better then I am.

1.Team versus is broken since day one.
2. WhenI play random pub game I always expect that I going to have to carry a team of newbies.
3. Not all newbies can be carried since some of them are r3tarded.
4. Some games are just not for newbies(blame valve for not having a good rank or matchmaking system).
5. I kick high hour noobs too.
6. Shouldn't newbies expect to be kick when they join a random versus match?
7. There other ways for noob to learn how to play versus.
-10vs 10 servers
-newbies only friend versus match
-watching youtube scrim matchs
-SP console command for SI only
8. Newbies don't have MIC or follow directions.(I don't care if better player play without a mic)

lol, it's just a game, dude!
sonarix 2012 12 月 24 @ 6:07上午
exactly as Nickel said, i'll sum up what I was trying to say. You learn by playing. TEEHEE
Blingie 2012 12 月 24 @ 7:51上午
Its just a game, play for fun! Instead of telling them what to do, be more specific and help them out. How is a noob going to learn if they always get kicked? Its such an unfriendly community because everyone should be allowed to play. Boohoo if your team died /FirstWorldProblems

We all know the smoker spot under the ledge, at least the players with some experience. Everybody went into the first room, the one with the fire. Except for the noob, of course. And of course he gets smoked down, hangs from the edge.

A question about that scenario:
..... at least the players with some experience.

How does somebody new at the game know about that smoker hazard spot unless they themselves have been dragged down before or have seen somebody else getting dragged down from there? No thousands of campaign hours will warn you about these ambush spots cause the AI never uses them. Playing versus for the first time and getting caught in all these ambush spots is how all of us learned about them our first time.

...if that noob had listened for the smoker, or listened to us, or just had followed us through the fire room.

This part needs some more detailed explanation.

Did he actually hear the smoker? There are times when I don't hear SI sounds, I don't know what causes this. Did you guys confirm that he can understand your language when communicating with him? Did you guys see him walk away in another direction to warn him not to go there or did you assume he was behind you without actually looking at (covering) him and assume that he should know about the smoker spot and only found out he derailed from the path when he was hanging?

This is what people mean with "forgetting what it was like to be new". People assume too much from their own experienced perspective. I've seen this happen a lot when I played versus.
"I thought you were there." "I thought you were behind me"

Never assume, use your eyes and ears when playing with strangers.

Like I said in the other thread, if you want to play to win: play with friends who you know are as epxerienced as you and have the same playstyle as you.
You have no power in selecting the experience of the strangers you play with, you shouldn't be surprised that you sometimes end up playing with beginners.

All we have now are experts and beginners complaining about each other through these threads on a regular basis without a change in sight.

How many times do you have to get dragged down until you realize that this might be a bad spot? And yes, I remember being new. I made this mistake at the ledge ONCE.

Doesn't change the fact that new players don't know about this for the first time shouldn't be kicked.

well, that scenario was HIS "once". He learned from it. Or maybe not. We will never know because he was kicked. Were you kicked during your "once" moments? and if yes, did you deserve it and did the kicker have the right to complain about you like you are doing right now to the person you kicked?

You are no longer the player you were during your "once" moments, you got better. you were given a chance to get better.
