Hi-res Texture packs?

The graphics aren't good in this game. Are they thinking about making a Hi-res texture pack or anything? I mean a good noticable official one, not the mods on l4dmaps, they don't look much different from the default textures. I just looked at Dead Island and the graphics look beatiful.

graphics on dead island are actually awful. a full generation behind left 4 dead 2.

Look again? There are some pretty good mods on l4dmaps for hi-res or realistic stuff. No compilation though so you'd have to hunt for the individual bits.

I found some packs and they say HD textures but I don't even notice a difference in the pictures they provide.

Dead Island sucks zombie testicles. Graphics are terrible, and swinging one of those insanely silly weapons feels just wrong, the whole engine seems wonky.
Dead Island = "Look, I put a fan on a broomstick and ducttaped machetes and tasers to it! But it's only good for a couple of hits!"

Fully maxed at 1920x1080 its a pretty decent looking game especially for its age. Its no crysis but its nothing to complain about. Regardless I dont see valve putting any kind of real work into a game this old that only sells when its 5$. Either find some 3rd party mods or crank the settings and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

You can probably assume all next releases of valve games will be on the source engine 2, so I would just wait for that one. Im assuming HL3 will be the flagship game for that and the valve game box.

Don't be too greedy.. L4D2 isnt an high-end graphics game but it's still so acceptable.. sigh, some people here didn't played first 3D games years back.

It's not like BF3, Crysis or Nexuiz, but it's much of enough and even good.. idk, saying graphics arent good seems stupid to me. It doesnt tastes great to me but saying graphics arent good is exagerrating.

left 4 dead 2's graphics are a tenfold better than battlefield 3.
