Not sure about the SSD size, i would use the HDD for steam and games, SSD for OS ONLY. I did it this way, OS and Fraps, Faststone, Peerblock and some other software 1 Disc.( C: 500 GB ) STEAM, Games, and game related only at disc 2. ( D: 1 TB ) And disc 3 ( G: 1TB ) only folders for Fraps movie, screen, Faststone screen. The backuppHD's 2 x 1 TB external.

Best thing is to splitt OS disc from STEAM / Games.

Tip: Do not copy STEAM folder, best thing is to do a fresh STEAM install.
Tip: Do not forget to copy/safe all addons somewhere else...

Use "mklink" command to replace L4D2 folder: http://technet.microsoft.com/library/cc753194(v=ws.10).aspx

Copy your Steamapps folder somewhere. Uninstall Steam. Reinstall Steam (preferablly outside Program Files), then move the Steamapps folder back into place.

Some games might redownload themselves, but the majority of them should install instantly.
