Kicked for no reason on Scavenge

Hello, I have a L4D2 related issue on Windows. Someone was trying to kick me out of the game that I just started for no valid reason. This happened when I started to play as Zoey, I managed to get 20 cans and also the CACHE AND CARRY achievement. Now when I was an Infected as the Smoker, I got to where a player named Noodle was and I said I don't do exploits. As soon I died, people tried to kick me. I quitted.

This is not the first time this happened to me, this also occured in Left 4 Dead when I played a Versus game where someone tries to kick me, happens either when I'm Zoey (Survivors) or Infected. I think about 2 or 3 times this happened.

Have you been kicked for no reason on Left 4 Dead. I believe this happens to some users.

Every game community has its fair share of idiots with a superiority complex. You're not the first nor will you be the last to be kicked by those kind of people.

Sadly, this happens more often than you think. Many online players have no patience for those who are new and inexperianced, or for those whose skills at playing L4D2 are not as honed or vast as those who play nearly every hour of every day. In these circumstances, the player or team will kick the weaker player of the group, in order to boost their stats/chances at winning. Thus, the goal of winning becomes the sole, primary goal of said player/team.

You are not alone, and further still, this is not exclusive to L4D2. All online games suffer from this type of player who will kick anyone they view as "lesser". The player is so consumed at winning and proving their supposed "supiriority", the will even lower themselves to exploits, hacks, cheats, or general trash talking or "trash voting" in order to break the other teams concentration, or to be general annoyance. Anything that can or will add up to giving them an advantage to win is employed.

My suggestion to you is to avoid playing with these arch types, and seek out others of like mindedness to add to your friends list. In doing so, you will grow a vast network of like minded friends to play with who enjoy this game game as much as you do, and in doing so, will avoid any players that would otherwise ruin your game :)

Ditto, more often than not there is a reason, people are too blind to see their own faults and think they're always the victim on here.

Well, it happened to me when I had played Scavenge on No Mercy. I started a game playing as Zoey and later played as the Infected. Now when I was Zoey on Round 2, things started to happen: I got rode on by a Jockey and Zoey was incapped (unusual for me to be incapped as soon the Round started) but revived. Short time later, a Charger pushed Zoey off of the map and when she was dead, I see a vote to kick me out of the game (why do people hate me?). I only believe this happens when I play Scavenge or Versus. Never on Survival or Campaign.

Rumi, I know this issue is not exclusive to L4D2. I believe it's also not exlusive to Windows and OS X. Also, one time another player tried to kick my friend from my game for no reason.

Too bad valve cant do anything about auto kickers. People who kick people unfairly deserve a perma ban

I believe we could use casual/competitive filters, like in cs:go, those who want to play with good players should join competitive and new ones join casual.

If you want to guaranty your position as lobby leader, pick local server in the server option. You can't be kicked, then. Also when you exit the game, everyone else gets kicked to the lobby. You do need a good IP rate, though, or you'll be throwing out high pings and no one will stay for longer than 10 seconds..

Scavenge is quite a niche game mode, and is very competitive by nature. If you're new to the game, sorry, people don't have time to teach you how to play.

Start on other maps, Rooftop is so easy but because of the massive availability of insta-kills on the map, you need to know how to set up attacks and how to defend properly. Maybe try Atrium, Motel, Sugar Mill etc...

Still, maybe try watching my friends videos and you may get a better idea of why you may have been kicked...

Big deal man. I was kick for somebody else lag. Reason: "if we are less will be less lag." From all the player joined in server, I was with the least lag. This kinda stuff its beginning to make me laugh. I think I will start a channel with thoes guys. I cant be upset, because a guy has limited intelligence. Its already punished.

I dont get it. Somebody tell us what rules should know, if you play a versus mode. Seriously. Sometimes i feel like someone waits for my mistake to get me kicked. And I`m pretty sure that, this is not the objective of the game. An idea. Start a topic with what should you do, when you are in a vs mode. The part with survivors is clear. Part with infected is a problem.
