BRING THE GORE
i am sick of ragdolls disappearing and heads not decapitating its about time we got rid of the low violence it was stupid to have in the first place since we had very gory games at the time (like Mad World Left 4 Dead etc.) we now have a R 18+ classification we should get what every other country gets in l4d2. FOR AUSTRALIA/GERMANY

You can also sort of preview the whole thing by changing the appID - there are a few tutorials out there. I have to admit it's not really all that different and especially in Multiplayer it's maybe even an advantage to have no gore.

This is true, if you have never had gore before get ready for mud and blood to blind you.

Complain to politicians of your country it's their fault, i'm sure Valve has no time to lose at updating his game because stupid laws change.

Sorry that Australia/Germany behaves like an overprotective parent.

In the end you will just realize how messed up everything is anyways so there was no need for all these dumb manmade laws.

It's zombie you're not killing humans like in GTA and if i remember it's allaowed in germany so yes it's stupid laws.

Over here in America, I actually appreciate this being optional. I'm not even really a huge fan of blood and gore, so I actually opt to have the low-violence mode enabled. But I understand that you don't want to be forced to have it like that. You say you want to get rid of the low-violence mode? I'd rather it be optional for you like it is for me.

I`m from Australia and have 2 steam accounts....One account has the Aussie version of L4D2 and the 2nd account has the US version and can tell you in all honesty that the US version is way better! With the Aussie version, the bodies disappear before even hitting the ground resulting in using more ammo than needed, no blood at all and no trail of dead bodies to show that you`re even killing anything whatsoever! I personally believe that they should let the adult gamers of Australia at least have the choice to make their own decisions on this matter whether they want gore or not!

Was holding off getting the game for years as I really did want the full version.
But it was just released for $4.99 so I snapped it up. Man its go less gore then L4D.

Its been awhile now snice the R18+ for Australia, I wonder if there is much cost to put it back through ABC to get the R18+ Version.

In the meantime the live above, are we sure there are no bans while playing this online :/

Either way it's a dumb "policy" from a philosophical standpoint anyways. It's not like you could protect children from the reality that this world is messed up completely. A little virtual zombie gore wouldn't mess with your child more than the supposedly real news ever could.

Let alone other human beings. Other children, they might ruin your childs future for years by making it fear other people and whatnot. So your government should keep it ♥♥♥♥ing real. Life is tough. An infected human being would likely explode into red and guts if you shot at it. ♥♥♥♥ happens. Life is tough.

Edit: For a long time I would've supported that say below 14 year olds shouldn't play games like left for dead but these days I'm seeing it in a different light. At least if you let it watch TV in the first place (and I don't care what programme(ing) it is) then gaming (no matter if gory) is always going to be the more stimulating alternative. Gaming will possibly make your child think while TV will make it learn and repeat phrases.
