ain't gonna happen.
also just download mods if you want new stuff
A, For a broken horrible rushed game you sure have a lot of time played.
B. Valve hired turtle rock before they finished the game, how much each contributed is unknown AFAIK.
C. Valve has been updating, it just doesn't get the same attention TF2 does. But by AAA standards it gets quite a bit, we've gotten a few new campaigns, ports of all the old ones, quite a lot of bug fixes and new modding tools are in the works.
I dislike being "positive" about L4D2 because facts are there. Joining steam because i know i'll get quality servers and instead i get all this crap and nobody play actual L4D1, just Roto. Although you say, the hope is where you can host and make your own servers and fix stuff with plugins, not talking about these random DLR and XPM.
Turtle Rock had the best zombie game in their hands until "everythings" got to change because it "wasn't" good enough. AKA here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzd-ygdP538 If Valve did the most part of work, i don't think L4D2 would be that horrible compared L4D1.
Ports should have not happen. That killed L4D1 last breath.
Until a game is released it's absolutely perfect in all respects.
