White Screen When Hunter Attacks Survivor
Hi there, we just had a game on a local server we play on every day, however today the opposite team accused one of the other team members of cheating, what was happening was that every time just as the hunter would leap on a survivor the screen would flash white and they would miss their target but only when attacking that specific player. I Googled this with no result and I am curious if this is in fact a cheat or not ?

Sounds like you're getting deadstopped to me.

That's being deadstopped for sure, the others might have been sore losers or maybe even new.

Thanks for the reply, even though it made me have to go and google what deadstopped means, this doesnt explain why the attackers screen flashes white ?

Is this definition correct: to deadstop (verb) - "deadstopping" simply means meleeing a pouncing hunter or a leaping jockey. Deadstopping a hunter should be followed by a quick headshot to avoid accusations of hunter cruelty.

If you get hit by a survivor mid-pounce, it causes your screen to do this.

Thanks for the replies, most of the players are long time L4D2 players and felt quite strongly that there was something out of the ordinary going on. For now we will have to monitor the situation and see if it happens again.
