Anyone know of a fix for stuttering/microstuttering?
Let me explain what I mean. When I look around, the movement isn't so smooth. Well, it sorta is, but it's extremely noticeable when I turn/move around an object (say, a car, or a post, or a corner of a wall). I disable multi-core rendering, but I still get stuttering. Could the problem be the Source engine? Because I sometimes get the same problem with Half-Life 2 (though it's not as bad).

Sorry, but that read like a different language to me. I'll see what I can do with that though. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to try that. I don't want to mess something up.

Well, I gave your method a shot, but it didn't solve my issue.

Try defragging your hard drive. If your hard drive is fragmented it will cause lag in games and defragging it with windows defragger helps a ton with games running smooth.

I defragged, but I still get the same stuttering.

this stutering started after the last update, even when l4d2 devs started working with pinion I see the katana's showing up as big red errors, and it disrupts the game some becasuse i can't see the survivor wielding it coming
