Spray problems

Idk if anyone is getting this problem but whenever i use my spray people can't see it and i can't see theirs. Is there anyway to fix that?

I think it might be the Cloud Storage messing with it, not sure though. I can't find anything anywhere on this.

I had this problem on TF2, turns out mp_decals was set to 0, but I can not find this console command in my Left 4 Dead config.cfg. I know not if I'd be able to use it in the console if I actually started the game.

When i make my own sprays ( and i have for the past 4 years) i have to keep using it for about a few weeks for others to see it. I can see it myself but everyone else cant see it. I play about 1 and a half hours per day of l4d2 and i spray it constantly and then after a few weeks, they finally see it!

But mind you, this is for animated sprays. So not sure thats why it acts like that but it wasn't like that 3 years ago (maybe 2 years ago). i used to make animated sprays the same way i do now and everyone was able to see it right away. but now its just about playing the waiting game :( I feel this has something to do with steam cloud but i dont know.

I have a theory: spray will always show in local host games.
So far it's true for me.
