Worth to buy?

Hello. I'm just ask: Is it worth to buy the game? Do you find enough players? I didn't play L4D1, is this bad?

As long as you're willing to tough out the harsh community if you play a versus mode it's worth a try (co-op is much more friendly if that's more your thing)

Not the largest community (It's slow in the morning American time) But evenings are always full and even when it's slow you can find games easily enough.

Playing L4D1 is unneeded, minus one survival map L4d2 has all the content 1 does (and that survival map you can get in mod form)

Worth noting though that the game is on sale for 5$ often so you might want to wait for that.

I hate Versus Modes either way, so no probs with that. I LOVE Coop so yeah, I think this is the right game for me :D.

The versus community is rather harsh against unskilled players, the problem is one bad player can screw over the team (L4d2 is far more team heavy than most games) If you stick to co-op you'll be fine (Just don't jump into expert right away)

People kick you in versus because:You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up some elaborate plan accidentaly, you dident teamswitch onto the team with a AFK and bots on it, Completely unskiller player thinks your hacking, etc.

Yes l4d2 is most definately worth it. As far as the versus factor goes, you would want to practice with a specific circle of your friends only, before you start jumping in with competitive pubs. As it was already said above: New players are VERY seldom tolerated in versus games.

Remember. If you're new, play some campaigns on your own in single player before hopping into a multiplayer campaign. Familiarize yourself with how the game works before unleashing yourself on an unsuspecting lobby. This game rewards experience and as mentioned above, is rather hard on newbies. The community is mostly the same way, but it will surprise you from time to time.
Just keep in mind the game will grow on you, you just need to give it the time and patience to do so.

Well, I do agree, the Co-op is the best thing to do until you get skilled enough for Versus -- I've been doin' that for a while, now.. The extra challenge Realism brings also prepares you for the timing and action Versus brings. However, I usually play on Advanced even though I'm an expert player, I've played the first for 500 hours, 2nd only about 150 hours, but not to worry. You'll find good players on Co-op :p

game itself is awesome.but a couple of people seem to have personality problems, especially in the random group versus matches. i wish there would be more level-headed people. =)
