Report a translation problem
I made a post about 6 months ago and got no response.
Bumping for answers.
1: Double check to make sue you have nothing subscribed. (Just to be safe)
2: Defrag the game cache and verify its integrity (it will basically check your game for missing or corrupted files)
3: or just delete and reinstall L4D2. (I know it sucks but it's one of the only ways to fix it)
Also some forms of antivirus can cause L4D2 to act up (link for list of software issues): https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9828-SFLZ-9289
For me the game got really messed up just from corrupted workshop stuff. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it did nothing. After removing some campaigns it ran smooth as buttah. (butter)
