Where is the "fully integrated" Razer Hydra support? When will it be added?
With the Oculus Rift being shipped, Razer also ran a campaign for Razer hydra at 50€ discount for those who bought the dev kit. Now my issue does involve Razer, but Valve isn't without reponsability.
As mentioned here: http://www.razerzone.com/minisite/hydra/integrated - Left 4 dead 2 has full integration, and so does Portal 2.
For Portal 2 you have to get the "secretly hidden DLC" by contacting sixence for a key, steam could have done that a tad better.

Now my main issue is that both Razer and Valve is providing fake marketing by announcting l4d2 fully integrated, when it clearly isn't. Sixence says they got everything ready, but it is Valve who has to release the integration.

Razer is providing incorrect information

And Valve lack their responsibility by not releasing the integration or forcing Razer to remove the misinformation. - In fact, I have yet to see a statement from Valve which could clearify whether this integration is comming or not; That is the least they could have done.

When i bought the Hydra, I expected to chop heads off by having an ADHD dance in my room in a game enviroment made by some who worked on their hardware for a long long time. Now i need to make my game-development based on experience with other small costom integrations and various FPS games to create a likewise experience as L4D2 can provide.

So dear Valve, please make a statement about your intentions with the Hydra support.

ps: please don't delete this post.

hello, i play l4d2 quite a bit (2K hrs xD) and I got the hydra last week, I really hoped that the support he has in Portal 2 was available in l4d2 but apparently they have not added.
Basically what I did is download the application from sixsenses: http://www.sixense.com/motioncreator2/MotionCreator_beta_3154.exe since it is far more updated than the razer and modified the configuration of l4d2 according to my game style, I use right control as mouselook, if you have interest in the configuration file send me a msg on steam, in weekend I can send it to you.

The MCU with MotionCenter2 is good enoguh for me. But i still expected it to be fully integrated. It is a long time ago Sixence made the integration. They claim that Valve is simply holding it back, yet Razer post it as fully integrated.

There are many news about valve working on own hardware ... maybe this is a sign that they have a motion control project, but I agree with you, before buying i also read that l4d2 had native support for hydra. I hope they fulfill the promise and in the future I might find in the control options of the L4D2 the same options I see in Portal 2.

+1 Unsatisfied user of Razer Hydra. I was looking forward to slicing zombies. And what we get? TF2 and Portal 2. Surgeon Simulator also integrated experimental support, but it works only in menus and special level with TF2 medic and heavy, in standard surgeries fingers do not move, only hands: buttons don't work. But they do in menus, I can grab a VHS cassette and put it into VCR. I am disappointed.

I guess this is what people ultimately get for buying that overpriced excuse of a controller.
But there's still no excuse for their lack of support though.

Luckfully, I bought it with a discount. Anyway, now I'm trying to play Killing floor with a friend of mine. Need a LOT of practice in akimbo mode, but it is the most comfortable mode for me.

I also got the controler at a discount. I did not find it over pricing. If it had the same initiative for work like leap has, and a more central collection of hydra support games (like Leap's Airspace), there would be much more use of it than there is now.

I ocationally use it when i find some interesting games it can be used to. Or if a game is better played using a controler, i find that the hydra most of the time can replace most handheld controlers. (not stuff like joystick, wheel , etc)

But now a half year later, still nothing has happened. I still stand by my original post. Valve has a reponsability they don't live up to.
