The point is ideally to play with your friends, but single player has most of the same modes (no Versus of course).
The bots in single player do tend to get in the way, but they tend to hit what they shoot at. They won't ever summon the horde so you can take as much prep time as you want.
As for hours it depends on how good you are. Once you beat the 12 or so maps in campaign mode and get gold on survival and scavenge then its just picking off multiplayer achievements. I'd say you could spend about 30 hours before it starts getting repetitive. The AI Director is "smarter" in L4D2 so it will always be a different playthough every run.
Of couse with multiplayer the possibilities are endless, especially if a friend knows how to set up server mods. Also single player can use the workshop.
Thank you, thats exactly the reply i wanted to hear. I'll most likely end up buying it rather than the xbox version. Also one thing i did want to hear was how long does it take to download though? i heard from some discussions it takes a really long time
l4d2 is 13.9 gb it was 8 gb when it first came out. With all the stuff since release its gained another 7 gb
