Gameplay?
I am thinking about getting this game. But how much gameplay can you get from the single player itself. I don't want to beat the single player in 4-5 hours then just have to play multiplayer the rest of the entire time. And are the DLC's worth getting either? Thanks if you can answer these questions

On Steam the DLC's come automatically.
The point is ideally to play with your friends, but single player has most of the same modes (no Versus of course).
The bots in single player do tend to get in the way, but they tend to hit what they shoot at. They won't ever summon the horde so you can take as much prep time as you want.
As for hours it depends on how good you are. Once you beat the 12 or so maps in campaign mode and get gold on survival and scavenge then its just picking off multiplayer achievements. I'd say you could spend about 30 hours before it starts getting repetitive. The AI Director is "smarter" in L4D2 so it will always be a different playthough every run.
Of couse with multiplayer the possibilities are endless, especially if a friend knows how to set up server mods. Also single player can use the workshop.

Thank you, thats exactly the reply i wanted to hear. I'll most likely end up buying it rather than the xbox version. Also one thing i did want to hear was how long does it take to download though? i heard from some discussions it takes a really long time

There is no purpose in playing single player. Multiplayer is where its at! The single player team AI is pretty bad, so multiplayer is way better. Anyways, if you would count multiplayer, right now I've got over 50 hours on it, and don't plan on quitting anytime soon. I highly recommend this game. 5/5 stars.

According to what Steam says, L4D2 takes up roughly 7 gigs on my computer. So it really depends upon your internet speed and whether Steam wants to comply.

Also, the DLC's are free, and come with the game. I believe the DLC campaigns include: The Passing, The Sacrifice, and Cold Stream.

That's considerably more. Thanks for setting that straight.
