Do you have installed any add-ons? If so, try to disable them.

i have this problem too and yeah, i was downloading add ons, so how do i disable them?

@Pato go to the workshop and hit unsubcribe from that add on but if it crashes after starting a campain you go to add ons and check off what you dont want (i have alot of add ons and a little bit too so it will freeze if that happens ctrl alt delete

But Fluffy i have another computer at my dads house
if i will disablei will not be able to play with them on the other computer

Then you can go and download the mods separately from steam once you have access to the other PC. By separately I mean from places like gamebanana and other such sites.
