It depends.There are so many zombie games out there,but somehow it has managed to survive by having enough players everyday.Now,I haven't played L4D but I hear that it has a darker theme than L4D 2 and it feels better than it.So,basically L4D 2 ows its survival these years to L4D's ports of the maps.They are all better in every way.But I bet once DayZ standalone is released,it will lose many players.

Doom 3 and Dead Space are awesome, Dead Island is o.k. Necrovision and Killing Floor are inferior to L4D to me. Right now L4d is my favorite zombie game.

Resident Evil 1 Remake, 3 & Code Veronica>L4D2, but that's just me. Good game, definitely. The best? Naw son.

Walking Dead was pretty good. This one isn't the best, but its definitely up there.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a good game, but to be honest, I wouldn't say that it is the best zombie game out there. There are other zombie games out there that are most likely better. Left 4 Dead 2 really isn't that scary imo.
